Budget Cutting

Regarding the issue of the federal budget and what should be cut from it for the remainder of this fiscal year, it seems the House GOP wants $ 40 billion cut while the Democrats want $ 33 billion reduction. The negotiation settled on $ 38.5 billion cut. Sure seems like the House GOP is calling the shots. Imagine if the GOP held the Presidency and the Senate; we have only a military. If my math is correct that means there is only a 17.5 % difference between the two parties on the issue of cutting spending and the budget. When the GOP gets through with its knife, the only thing left will be the military; then we can attack another country. Soon the only growth industries in the US will be flags, body bags and coffins.
