So what is going on here? During the TV presidential debate the other night Mitt Romney said "I will not reduce the share paid by high-income individuals" and again he said "All right" I will not reduce the taxes paid by high income Americans". I watched the debates and heard him say it. CNN OnLine on 10/4/12 reprinted the above quotes. However, it was reported in the NJEA Reporter for Sept 2012 the following: "Romney does want to keep taxes low for the richest Americans, and, though, and continues to call for the extension of the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy".
